TRYBE Defense is excited to announce the next evolution of handguard technology with the introduction of the Magnite Series of handguards. Magnite is a magnesium alloy that is just as strong as 6061-T6 Aluminum but weighs 30% less. So, if you're looking to lighten up your existing build or make that ultra-light build a reality, then the TRYBE Defense Magnite handguards are the only way to go.

The Go Fast Ultra Lightweight model is exactly what it sounds like: a design made to reduce weight to an absolutely insane minimum. A handguard that has both slick design and M-LOK functionality is the standard for all lightweight builds.

Don't believe how incredibly light Magnite is? The weight specifications below detail the total combined weight of the TRYBE Magnite handguard, Magnite barrel nut, and mounting hardware:

  • TRYBE Go Fast Ultra Lightweight Cut Rail 7" Weight: 3.78 oz
  • TRYBE Go Fast Ultra Lightweight Cut Rail 9" Weight: 4.25 oz
  • TRYBE Go Fast Ultra Lightweight Cut Rail 12" Weight: 5.27 oz
  • TRYBE Go Fast Ultra Lightweight Cut Rail 15" Weight: 6.39 oz

Pick up the TRYBE Defense AR-15 Magnite Go Fast Ultra Lightweight M-LOK Handguard with Cut Top Rail and feel for yourself.

Installation Instructions
Handguard Installation instructions

In order to install your new handguard, you will need the following tools:

  • 30mm Wrench
  • 5/32" Hex Screwdriver
  • Thread Locker (optional)

Once you have installed your barrel in your upper receiver, thread the barrel nut onto the upper and tighten down to 35-40 foot pounds.

After you have installed your gas block and tube assembly, slide the handguard over the barrel nut. You may apply Loctite to the exterior of the barrel nut across the knurled surface for added grip. You will need to apply some force to the rail when going over the barrel nut as the knurling is designed to mar the interior surface of the rail, adding additional grip.

Align the rail with your receiver and put the mounting screws in the drilled holes from the left side of the upper receiver and proceed to tighten them down to 3 foot-pounds (36 inch-pounds). Do not torque screws more than 3 foot-pounds. Exceeding this force may strip the threads.

They do warn you on the box not to overtighten the screws - 3 ft lbs. I set my torque wrench to 24 inch pounds = 2 ft lbs. I tightened the forward screw no problem. When tightening the rear screw, i felt the threads start to give and stopped immediately. The screws are M5-12. I replaced them with M5-16 as there is plenty of thread depth. Torqued them just fine. If it were me, I would replace the screws before starting.
