The 9mm AR Barrels from TRYBE Defense are engineered from the ground up for demanding pistol-caliber carbine applications. Precision-machined from military-grade 4150 CMV steel, these barrels deliver uncompromising strength, heat resistance, and barrel life, even under sustained firing schedules. The QPQ black nitride finish enhances surface hardness to approximately 60 HRC, improves corrosion resistance, and offers a slick internal bore that reduces carbon fouling makes cleaning a breeze.
Optimized for direct blowback operating systems, this barrel eliminates the need for a gas port or gas block. It’s designed to cycle via bolt mass and buffer spring pressure, making it a straightforward, reliable solution for 9mm AR builds. The M4-style barrel extension ensures compatibility with standard AR-15 upper receivers, and the feed ramps are cut for smooth, reliable feeding from both Colt- and Glock-style magazine platforms, depending on your lower.
With a 1:10 twist rate, TRYBE Defense 9mm barrels offer excellent projectile stabilization across a wide range of common 9mm bullet weights — from lightweight 115gr supersonic rounds to heavier 147gr subsonic loads. Each batch of TRYBE Defense barrels is inspected nearly 70 times throughout the manufacturing process, to include 100% inspection of headspace to ensure compliance with SAAMI Specification. Each barrel is also air gauged after rifling and is held to .0002" concentricity of the bore.
